RM of Browning’s story
The Rural Municipality of Browning No. 34 was incorporated on December 11, 1911, in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan. By 1912, just a year after it was formed, the RM already counted 1,800 residents.
Today the RM surrounds the town of Lampman, where the municipal office is located, and includes the hamlets of Wilmar, Steelman and Browning. The council meets on the second Wednesday of each month, and the Lampman Airport lies within the municipality.
